Physical examination:
 Lumbar puncture

Morning Mr Maxwell, all right? Now, do you now what we're going to do this morning ? Well,  I am going to put a little needle in to your spine and take a some fluid off your back to find our what’s giving you these headaches. You might feel a little  bit of discomfort , but it won't take long . When it’s over , we'll ask you to lie still for a few hours. Now Mr Maxwell, can you roll onto your left side ?. I want you to curl up into a little ball . So could you bend your knees up and tuck your head in for me .  That’s fine, lovely, Ok. Now I‘m going to swab down your back with some antiseptic, all right ? It 'll be a bit cold . Are you ready ? Now I’m going to give you a local anesthetic so it won't be sore . You'll feel a just slight jab. ok , scratch coming now. There. We'll wait for a few minutes for that to take effect. Right now, lie still, that’s very important . Now I’m just going to pressing down as I put the needle in .You areare doing very well . Ok. That’s it . All over.
